Things are continuing to go well here at the hospital. We've been staying here 24/7 and doing all the feeding/changing/medication giving for the past few days. Its tough to establish a solid routine with him since about a thousand doctors, nurses and staff truck through here daily to poke and prod him (and we appreciate everything they do for our little guy!).
Until yesterday, they were giving Jordan supplemental breastmilk through a feeding tube in his nose to make sure he was getting enough nutrition (it's tough to measure how much he gets from breastfeeding). They want to make sure he's eating a lot and gaining weight - that's pretty much his ticket outta this joint. However, Jordan didn't like the feeding tube - so yesterday he ripped it right out of his nose. This actually worked out well - we started using a bottle feeding system that closely simulates breastfeeding. This enables us to measure exactly how much he's getting, and still give him a good workout so he doesn't get lazy. And now no unsightly tube in his nose!
So that's pretty much it for now - be sure to tune into MSNBC today as they'll be doing a story on Jordan. I didnt get an exact time, but I was told they'll run it several times during the day.
