SADAF HOLDS JORDAN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 13 DAYS
Sadaf shed tears of joy as the nurse let her hold him earlier this morning.  It was the first time since the day after his birth that we were able to hold him.  The feeling of him in our arms again was so incredible, it could only be matched by the sight of him entering the world for the first time on January 18th.

As you can see, things are progressing nicely and the doctors seem pleased.  Today they expect to take the breathing tube out and let Sadaf try to breastfeed.  This will truly be something to celebrate.  We are still taking it one day at a time, and keeping our hopes realistic.  But this is the happiest we've been in what seems like a very very long time.

However, with each bit of happiness we feel, we think of the parents who are no longer able to hold their little one and whose gift gave Jordan a second chance at life.  Please keep this family and their dear departed child in your thoughts and prayers.
